'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League comeback

Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his desire in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to negotiate a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is currently halfway through the four-year deal he inked when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.

The veteran forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the maiden important honor of his notable career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would welcome to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he earlier was, and would certainly think about lengthening his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top marksman for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the speediest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, securing the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy barren spell, but now believes it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Future success with Bayern Munich remains Kane's top focus
  • The chance of a Premier League return has considerably decreased
  • New contract discussions could begin in the near future
  • Kane's remarkable goal-scoring performance continues to amaze
