I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
